El Tres: Experience Flavorful Mexican Cuisine in Thunder Bay

Our host St. Nick was awesome, very pleasant and kind. His food knowledge and recommendations were spot on will definitely return there again!

We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was super quiet so we were sat immediately by Nick. He informed us the margaritas were $8 and asked us if we had been there before or had any questions. The food and drinks were amazing, and they had everything we asked for on the menu (with the exception of the Horchata because apparently Thunder Bay doesn't know what's good). Nick's customer service was fun and refreshing. He felt genuine and made sure we had everything we needed, but still gave us space for ourselves. Nick was truly a gem and made dinner a fantastic experience. I hope he's getting paid what he's worth!

I loved the service. Your hostess was very pleasant last night April 30th. The nachos and cheese were amazing. Never really tried it with corn. But no regrets. Sorry we couldn't tip more (; thank you for the great experience!

Great flavorful drinks and food. When I didn't know what I wanted, the waitress asked a couple questions and made some solid recommendations. The sauce on the pork belly taco was my favorite. If I could get that sauce with the chicken or a pulled pork, that would be stellar. I would absolutely return.

This place has a high rating for what it is. The atmosphere is really nice, but it took about 10 minutes to even be noticed at the front door/be seated. I ordered shrimp tacos, which are supposed to be one of the spiciest tacos on the menu, but they were mild in my opinion. The staff are extremely friendly and kind, but they don’t appear to have much time to check on your table. It took me probably 30 minutes to get napkins and when they finally came I only got 1. The food is good/average, just nothing spectacular. I will say the pumpkin cheesecake dessert was pretty good and the churros portion is huge.

Excellent service our waitress checked on us frequently but was not intrusive. Food was absolutely delish we all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. The Margarita's were Perfection. Wonderful Ambiance on the Deck. We will definitely go back.

The food was good; however, I was expecting more flavour. We tried cheese chorizo deep with nachos, moles and chicharron, perfect for entrance. The atmosphere was good but not great; you could perceive Spanish music, but you didn't feel the Latin vibe, and the service was excellent

Got the nachos, taco sample, chicken mole, and churros. The nachos were a massive portion and the toppings were evenly layered through, a very nice touch. The tacos were all decent, not the best but definitely enjoyable. The chicken mole was the highlight of the meal, wonderfuly flavoured and cooked just right. The churros to end were okay but I feel they were oven baked and the raspberry sauce wasn't to my taste but still tasty. I will definitely come back for more!
